Getting Started

Creating an Account

To get started with the HIT Admissions System, you need to create an account. Click on the "Register" button in the top right corner of the homepage and fill in your personal details. Make sure to use a valid email address as this will be used for verification and notifications.

Navigating the Dashboard

After logging in, you'll be directed to your dashboard. Here you can see an overview of your application status, notifications, and quick links to important sections of the system. Use the navigation menu to access different features of the admissions system.

Application Process

Starting a New Application

To start a new application, go to the "Applications" section and click on "Start New Application". Follow the step-by-step process, providing all the required information. You can save your progress and return to complete the application later.

Uploading Documents

In the "Documents" section, you can upload all required documents for your application. Ensure that all documents are clear, legible, and in one of the accepted formats (PDF, JPG, PNG). Each document should be less than 5MB in size.

Making Payments

Application fees can be paid through the "Payments" section. We accept various payment methods including bank transfers, mobile money, and online payment platforms. Follow the instructions provided to complete your payment.

Notification System

Viewing Notifications

All important updates regarding your application will be sent as notifications. You can view these by clicking on the bell icon in the top navigation bar. Notifications are categorized by type (Documents, Payments, Applications) and can be filtered accordingly.

Managing Notification Preferences

You can customize how you receive notifications by going to "Notifications" > "Preferences". Here you can choose which types of notifications you want to receive (Documents, Payments, Applications) and through which channels (Email, In-App).

Marking Notifications as Read

To mark a notification as read, click on the "Mark as read" button next to the notification. You can also mark all notifications as read at once by clicking the "Mark all as read" button at the top of the notifications page.

Troubleshooting

Document Upload Issues

If you're having trouble uploading documents, ensure they meet the size and format requirements. Try compressing large files or converting them to a different format. If the issue persists, contact our support team.

Payment Problems

If your payment fails, check that you've entered all details correctly and that your payment method has sufficient funds. You can retry the payment from your dashboard. For persistent issues, contact your bank or our finance department.

Missing Notifications

If you're not receiving notifications, check your notification preferences to ensure they're set correctly. Also check your email spam folder. If you still don't receive notifications, contact our support team for assistance.
